Personal Licence
Free, by application
Made something of your own with one of our trial fonts? For self-initiated work — zines, personal posters, visual research, type experiments — you can use MaverickType typefaces for free. Tell us about your project and we’ll send you the full fonts with a personal licence.
What it covers
One project and one typeface family, in print, in images of the work shared online, and in personal video. Printed copies may be sold, up to 200 in total.
The licence doesn’t expire.Web embedding and apps are not included, and videos can’t be monetised. Work made for a client, brand or organisation needs a regular licence, even if it’s unpaid.

Questions
Can I use it for a student project?
Yes, if it’s your own work and not made for an outside client. A brief set by your course is fine.
Can I put it on my website?
Images of the work, yes. Using the font itself on a website (web embedding) needs a
web licenceI have another project
Send a new application. Each licence covers one project.
Can I use several typefaces in one project?
Send one application per typeface and mention they’re for the same project.
My zine sold out. Can I print more?
Yes, up to 200 copies in total across all print runs. Beyond that, the project needs a regular licence.
What if you say no?
We’ll tell you why. Usually it’s because the work is commissioned, and then a regular licence is the right fit.
